We break down the reality of the costs of learning to fly. gurantee the lowest rates in the Southern California area. We have a %100 pass rate so far!
Flying at the basic level = the private pilot. This is the first license you need to fly. It gives you permission to fly around with friends and enjoy aviation. The basic costs are currently as follows:
- $75 an hour for flight instruction
- must have your own airplane
The total time required to become a private pilot is anywhere from 40-60 hours.
If you have previously conducted training and would like to finish up a private pilot rating we can create a flat rate package deal to reduce cost and efficiency. To begin the flat rate flight training you must have the written test completed and at minimum a 3rd class medical.
This will allow you to fly through clouds. Same price for instruction. Approximately 15-40 hours of training required.
The commercial pilot rating allows you to fly for compensation or hire. This program is flat rate as long as you meet the requirements. *Does not include the cost of the airplane (use yours or rent one.)
The flat rate flight review is based on the idea that it should not cost an arm and a leg to stay proficient. If money is a factor, we will never turn away someone because of their inability to pay for a flight review. Many people stress out on the idea of having to do their biannual flight review. Often times it is because the instructor could be there to build hours and take advantage or simply put, some schools are out to make money.
Flat rate flight review works great because the student can relax, instead of constantly thinking about "how much am I going to pay for the ground and flight instruction." Pilots realize they end up spending more than what they expected without getting anything from it.
With our flat rate flight review you will have all the time (on the ground and in the air) to explore the regs, legal interpretations affecting pilots, SRM/CRM, human factors, systems, flight manuevers, emergency procedures, practical application of knowledge, and much more.
So, here are some tips to help you get ready for your flight review that will cost you nothing but a few minutes a day.
